Michelle Stache

bio

Michelle Stache brings more than 20 years of coaching experience and 30 years of playing experience to the FVP Girls 15s team. Originally from Plymouth and now living in New London, Michelle played volleyball at Plymouth High School, Fond du Lac Fusion Volleyball Club, and Western Technical College, competing as a setter, libero, right side, and outside hitter. Her playing accomplishments include earning First Team All-Conference honors in high school and Second Team All-Conference honors at Western Technical College.

Michelle previously coached with Fond du Lac Fusion VBC and loves helping athletes develop their skills, especially those moments when something they’ve been working on finally “clicks.” Her coaching philosophy centers on getting to know each player and creating an environment that encourages learning, effort, and a willingness to be coached. She reminds athletes that effort and energy lead to great execution, and how you practice is how you play.

Michelle was drawn to FVP because of the club’s emphasis on growth and player development, knowing that winning is often a result of doing those things well.

Outside of volleyball, Michelle is an Associate Director of Proposal and Financial Managers at a Clinical Research Organization. She and her husband, Scott, met playing volleyball 25 years ago and have a son who is almost 10. Michelle also enjoys working out, golfing, hiking, camping, and, of course, playing volleyball.
