Fall Tryouts
Fall tryouts are coming up at FVP! All boys age groups will try out this fall, with opportunities available across our boys program. While our primary girls tryouts took place this summer and many teams are already filling up, we still have roster spots available for girls at the 12U, 15U, and 16U levels. If you missed summer tryouts or are still looking for the right club for the upcoming season, we’d love to see you at FVP this fall!

What to bring
All paperwork will be completed online with the tryout registration. The athlete will need to bring:
- Pre-registration for tryouts is required. No walk-ins allowed.
- Proof of Badger Region/USAV membership
- Without proof of membership an athlete WILL NOT be able to participate in tryouts
- Water bottle
- Change of shoes (you don't need volleyball specific shoes, we just ask that you don't wear street shoes onto the courts)
- A hard-working attitude

commitment dates
- Oct. 5: 7 p.m. Commitment date for any boy or girl offered during the 14U tryout period.
- Nov. 9: 7 p.m. Commitment date for all 15-and-older boys who were offered during the tryout period
- Nov. 16: 7 p.m. Commitment date for any girl 15 and older who were offered during the tryout period
Accepting an offer:
- At the time of an offer, a player is able to accept, decline, or put an offer on hold.
- Shortly after accepting the initial verbal offer, a link will be sent to the parent or guardian which will lead you through the formal acceptance process.
**Please note that coaches are only allowed an initial and one follow up contact**
Formal acceptance of an offer is determined by when the player selects their chosen club in the member management system. Players should leave the club selection as “Undecided” until an offer has been made by the club and accepted by the player. Upon official commitment to a club that is registered with Badger Region/USA Volleyball, the athlete must remain with that club/team for the remainder of the Junior Volleyball season.
Club contact:
A USA Volleyball Membership Management System (MMS) request from a club to an athlete to join the “Club Directory” is not considered a contact, as it is merely a part of the data organization process clubs must manage on a year-to-year basis. The electronic MMS request from a club to an athlete to join the club as an official member marks the moment at which a club has official made an offer to an athlete. This, too, should not count as a contact, as it is a systematic administrative function. A club program who has given an offer of membership to a player may make one club-initiated follow-up contact with that player between the time of the electronic MMS offer and the subsequent commitment date. A club-initiated contact shall be defined as a phone call, email, text message, face-to-face meeting, or any direct message on any of the social media by a representative of the club program making the offer
Badger Region Membership info
All athletes must have a current Badger Region/USA Volleyball membership to participate in FVP tryouts. You have two options:
Full Junior Player Membership – $55
Valid through August 31, 2027. Choose this option if you know your athlete will be playing club volleyball this season. This membership covers tryouts, practices, tournaments, camps, clinics, and other sanctioned events.
Tryout-Only Membership – $10
Not sure about club volleyball yet? This membership covers participation in up to five tryouts from September through December. If your athlete joins a team, you can upgrade to the full membership later for an additional $45.

FVP does not receive any portion of the membership fee. This membership is required by Badger Region for participation and liability purposes. For membership questions, please contact Badger Region at membership@badgervolleyball.org
Notes
As always, players are encouraged to let clubs know of their intentions as soon as the decision has been made – a player does NOT need to wait until the deadline to accept or decline an offer. Individual clubs may choose to extend offer deadlines, at their discretion, or athletes may ask for this extension. Any extensions granted (or not) are the sole responsibility of Badger Region member clubs.
